
Windows 10 Start Menu and Cortana Not Working Fix
This is how to fix and resolve the following Windows 10 error: Critical Error: Start Menu and Cortana aren’t working. We’ll try to fix it the next time you sign in.
- Press ctrl+alt+delete on your keyboard
- Click on “TASK MANAGER”
- On top left, click on “FILE”
- Click on “RUN NEW TASK”
- Check the box “Create this task with …”
- Type in msconfig and check on “with admin privileges”, The click OK
- Click on BOOT tab. ON the bottom on the BOOT section, check “safe boot” and select “network”
- Click “OK”. Restart your computer (a prompt should appear asking you this)
- When it is rebooted and you get on the safe mode desktop, press ctrl+alt+del again
- Type msconfig again “with admin privileges”
- Go to the BOOT tab and uncheck safe mode
- Click “OK” and restart your computer
